Round 9 & 10: Road to Finals

With just one round remaining before Finals Weekend at Club Pine Rivers, the 2026 Premier League Queensland season has reached its most dramatic point yet.

Rounds 9 and 10 delivered everything the competition has become known for—upsets, dominant performances, and a complete shake-up at the top of the ladder. Tweed Heads surged into first place, Broadbeach bounced back after a setback by Helensvale, and Algester ensured a remarkable three-way tie on 15 competition points heading into the final round. With only five teams advancing to Finals Weekend at Club Pine Rivers on 26–27 September, Round 11 shapes as one of the biggest days in Premier League Queensland history.

Round 9

Saturday's action immediately tightened the finals race, with Helensvale producing one of the biggest upsets of the season by defeating ladder leaders Broadbeach. Tweed Heads continued its outstanding run with a commanding win over Kawana, while Pine Rivers and Algester kept pace with important victories.

Hamilton also celebrated its first victory of the season, edging Club Maroochy in a hard-fought contest.

The standout result belonged to Helensvale, whose eight-shot win over Broadbeach reignited their finals hopes, while Tweed Heads' 39-shot victory over Kawana significantly strengthened its shot difference ahead of the decisive final weekend.

Round 10

Sunday morning raised the stakes even further.

Tweed Heads backed up Saturday's performance by defeating Helensvale, while Broadbeach responded with a convincing win over Hamilton. Algester recorded the biggest winning margin of the weekend, defeating Club Maroochy by 50 shots, while Musgrave Hill produced the upset of the round with a 26-shot victory Burleigh Heads.

Pine Rivers also continued its impressive campaign with another dominant performance against Kawana. Newcomers, Red Hill also had an impressive win over Paradise Point

Tweed Heads sits atop the standings on shot difference, with Broadbeach and Algester also locked on 15 competition points. Pine Rivers and Burleigh Heads currently occupy the remaining finals positions, but Helensvale sits just one point behind, meaning everything remains on the line heading into Round 11.
